M.A., RP Qualifying
After 20 years in the education and counselling fields, Paul joined Forefront Psychotherapy in 2020. With a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary, and a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, Paul brings a breadth of clinical and practical experience to his role as a psychotherapist.
Paul provides psychotherapy and counselling to individuals and couples dealing with: anxiety, stress, depression, grief, anger, burnout, relationship problems, and divorce/separation, among others. He believes that developing a trusting relationship with a therapist is key to better understanding ourselves, harnessing our strengths and developing a sense of empowerment in managing our difficulties.
Paul uses a person-centred collaborative process with his clients and tailors therapy to each individual. Paul feels that empathy begins with understanding life from another person's perspective, and is done without any judgement whatsoever.
Paul provides an empathetic, trusting and confidential environment and offers support, coping tools, and encouragement to open up, identify strengths, change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviours, and works to accept situations over which you have no control.
To ensure Paul is continually honing his therapeutic skills, he works in association with supervisor C.Psych Associate Antoine Quenneville.
